Sister school partnerships are meaningful, reciprocal and sustainable long-term partnerships between two schools, aimed at fulfilling a range of purposes as determined by the respective school communities.
iLEAD is committed to bringing a qualified standard of education to both China and Australia by collaboratively managing schools to cooperate and establish friendly relationships between schools. Furthermore, we provide a bridge for the schools to experience advanced education systems and courses, and the opportunity for teachers and students to share and improve learning materials and resources.
Sister school partnerships continue to be a useful and important platform to connect the schools with each other and the outside world. For example, sister schools can share the cultures, languages and stories with each other, including remote learning to development and enhance educational and teacher capabilities. A sister school partnership can also improve student learning and outcomes.
Between 2016-2019, iLEAD helped establish sister school relationships between many Australian and Chinese schools of different educational levels in Australia and China, iLEAD aims to broaden students’ perspectives, develop their intercultural understanding and enhance their language learning. Additionally, iLEAD contributes to a whole school program of internationalization and building teacher capacity.

This forum covered topics such as development of Global Education, student academic improvement, curriculum reform and recruitment strategy. Other topics included the development of global networks and perspectives, intercultural understanding, critical thinking on cross-cultural collaboration.
The forum was lauded as a great success largely due to iLEAD’s focus on meaningful consultation and listening. We appreciated the contributions of school leaders and teachers to this discussion, listening to what practicing school leaders and teachers had to say gave an insight into the difficult and challenging situations they address daily, for the good of students, staff and the system as a whole.
We have connections with teaching and administrative staff across many primary, middle and high schools in Hangzhou, China and we were responsible for creating and maintaining a synergy between all our education partners.
